I have been thinking about why I write this blog lately. Here are the reasons:
1. To encourage others
2. To reflect
3. To learn
When I die, I want to be known as someone that encouraged others. I don't want to be a drag on others, although I fear sometimes that I am. Rather, I want to be someone that encourages. I want people to say, "he made me feel better about myself."
Reasons 2 and 3 are more personal. I like to write, so why not reflect on my life and allow others to learn from my mistakes? I also want to be someone that continually learns. I have found that writing a blog helps me in that pursuit because it holds me accountable to living out what I write about. Learning, after all, only happens when lessons are applied.
By the way, everything I write on this blog is from me, Alex Hoffer. I mention because someone asked me recently if I had a ghostwriter. I do not. This is bald in business, meaning this is the real me.
And I am bald!
Expect more posts for the time being. They'll be quick reads so that you have time to go encourage someone else when you are done reading them.
(My wife did not edit this post, so grammar mistakes are mine to own!)
Please subscribe to Bald in Business so that I can send encouragement directly into your mailbox.
